Preparing for an Active Shooter: Run, Hide, Fight

Hosted by Jim Mezhir, Humanities and Social Sciences Division Chair --

Presented by Kirk M. Fitch, M.Ed., CPM is the director of Clery Compliance at Northern Arizona University, Flagstaff, Arizona & Joe Tritschler is a sergeant with the Northern Arizona University Police Department, Flagstaff, Arizona.

In this webinar presentation, attendees will learn the concept of Run, Hide, Fight in the event of an armed, active shooter on campus. No one can tell us how we should or will act under these circumstances. It is best to be trained, prepared and have an understanding of what to do in the event this happens on your campus.

Make no mistake: You can survive an active shooter incident by remembering and planning ahead to take three important steps — run, hide, fight.
