Self-Evaluations, Evaluations and Observations/Diversity and Inclusion

Self-Evaluations, Evaluations and Observations--This portion of the session is intended for faculty and technical assistants who are grant funded or on a tenure track. It will prepare these individuals for the writing of their self-evaluation and the required observation by Academic Affairs administration. We will review the necessary forms, the timeline of the process, and focus items for the classroom visit.

Diversity and Inclusion—Jonathan Bellomo who serves as Chair of NCCC’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee will describe who and what the Diversity and Inclusion Committee is on campus and what important role the committee plays in contributing to the success of the College. He will provide a brief history regarding what the Committee has accomplished so far as well as lay out the goals of the D&I Committee for the upcoming year.

Attendees will learn about some upcoming diversity and inclusion initiatives the committee is implementing as well as what the expectations are for D&I training for faculty members.

Information regarding the new SUNY initiative PRODiG (Promoting Recruitment, Opportunity, Diversity, Inclusion and Growth) for which NCCC received approval to participate in will also be presented.
